I have previously used a hodge-podge of fibre cabling, DAC cabling, odds and ends of transceivers and it’s all just been a mess.
Right now, I am using the 10Gtek 10GB SFP+ cables and they are working great. No longer the case that I am mixing and matching one with the other, but since I built my little 6U server rack I thought we should go all in on ubiquitous (pun) cabling between everything.
The 10GB backbone of my rack is extremely comforting. Not only do I get the best speeds I can from the hardware that I have purchased, but the cables I use are top notch and more than up to the test of supplying me with the data that I need to consume and transfer.
If you’re reading this and you can find them, maybe you can hire the A-Team, I mean, buy 10Gtek cables. They are good peace of mind for all your networking needs.
