There’s a big push for pfsense for those who want completely DIY setups and I can respect that, for me though the integration of all the services and easy adoption of devices into the eco-system is just such a hot ticket. It’s so easy! Just like it’s so easy to pull out the credit card and blow \u00a32000 on new gear when you dont need it…. it’s… so… easy…..<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Still, future financial ruin aside, the OS is really easy to use. My only current complaint would be that the UNAS Pro Drive software isnt a part of the standard dashboard. It’s a seperate app\/IP. I find it strange that I cant manage the UNAS Pro from within the standard dashboard like any other Unifi device. I am sure that this will come at some point (and it’s really not a biggie either way) but it would be helpful with the new ‘Control Plane’ feature to list all of the software updates etc for the UNAS and the other devices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
